Tyler Dunigan, Track

The Indian Hills Community College Athletic Department has named Tyler Dunigan as May’s Student-Athlete of the Month. This accolade honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding commitment in both their respective sport, as well as the classroom.

Dunigan, a native of Sarasota, Florida, lit up the track during the month of May. He qualified for nationals in the 100 and the 4 x 100. He placed 18th in the 100-meter dash at the NJCAA Outdoor National Track and Field Championships with a time of 10.52. Recording second fastest time in school history. He also earned 3.7 GPA during the spring term. Coach Brent Ewing said, “Tyler is a leader for our program. He has a great head on his shoulders and is the type of young adult that you want to be the face of your program. I’m very proud of the progress he has made and excited to see what he does during his sophomore year.”
