Zach Fascia, Baseball

The Indian Hills Community College athletic department has recognized Zachary Fascia (baseball) and Carlyn Stanley (softball) as May’s student-athletes of the month. This accolade honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding work in their respective sport and in the classroom.

Fascia, a sophomore from Ontario, Canada finished his career as a two-time recipient of the ICCAC Defensive Player of the Year. The Purdue University signee was on fire in the last two months of the Falcon’s season, leading the team with a .365 batting average to go along with 18 doubles and 59 hits. “Fascia had a phenomenal year for us,” said assistant coach Jordan Camp.  “It was a direct result of the hard work he put in.” Fascia’s time at Indian Hills was topped off with a 3.8 GPA, including NJCAA Second Team Academic All-American honors.
