Justin King, Baseball

The Indian Hills Community College athletic department tabbed Justin King (Baseball) & Taylor Jones (Softball) as July’s Student-Athletes of the Month. This accolade honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding commitment in both their respective sport, as well as the classroom.

King, a sophomore lefty from Alberta, Canada, was an intricate part of the Indian Hills Baseball team that advanced all the way to the Region XI Title Game, before falling to the Reivers of Iowa Western. He compiled a 5-2 record on the mound during the 2018 campaign, and also swung the bat well for the Falcons, hitting 13 home-runs, racking up 60 RBI’s, and maintaining a .316 batting average. King was also named a 1st team Academic All-American by the NJCAA and will look to continue his success in the classroom and on the diamond at the University of Alabama next year.
