Macey Harrington, Softball

The Indian Hills Community College Athletic Department has tabbed freshman Macey Harrington as March’s Student-Athletes of the Month. This accolade honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding commitment in both their respective sport, as well as the classroom.

Harrington, a native of Macon, Missouri, has been on fire swinging the bat during the month of March. She has hammered 10 homers on 20 hits, batted in 25 runs, scored 15 times, and compiled a .384 batting average. Head Softball Coach Lindsay Diehl said of Harrington, “Macey is a kid that has fallen in love with putting on an Indian Hills jersey. She is having fun playing this game and continues to grow mentally every time she laces up her cleats. The month of March was a turning point for her. She has really stepped into a leadership role and has gained confidence both on and off the field. I absolutely love coaching her and look forward to what she will do next”. Macey will be back in action right here at R.L. Hellyer field on Wednesday against Southeastern Community College.
