Nick Marshall, Baseball

The Indian Hills Community College Athletic Department has named Nick Marshall as March’s Student-Athlete of the Month. This accolade honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding commitment in both their respective sport, as well as the classroom.

Marshall, a sophomore from Antigo, Wisconsin, showed great determination on the mound that earned him a new achievement for his career. During March he had two starts, one vs Carl Albert and DMACC. In the start against DMACC he threw a complete shut out, the first of his career. He added 9 strikeouts, 2.34 ERA, and through 13 innings only added one walk. Coach Torrez said “Nick is a great example for our team, he has worked extremely hard to improve as a pitcher and was giving us a chance to win every game when he went out. He was dominate against DMACC, he was able to throw three pitches for strikes and locate both sides of the plate.  Nick is also a great student, he holds a 4.0 GPA for his career at IHCC.”
