Cole Becker, Sports Shooting

The Indian Hills Community College Athletic Department has named Cole Becker as October’s Student-Athlete of the Month. This accolade honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding commitment in both their respective sport, as well as the classroom.

Cole Becker, a sophomore from Danville, Iowa, was on target in the month of October. During a dual against Northeast Iowa CC he finished 2nd with a score of 95/100. In the Iowa Lakes CC dual he shot his personal best score of 96/100 which earned him a 3rd place finish after a shoot out with two of the Iowa Lakes shooters. He also shot 85/100 during the Dual with Corrido Clay Crushers and 184/200 at the SCTP Collegiate Nationals. Becker, is also an RA on campus and maintains a GPA score of 3.619. Coach Stalzer said “Cole has stepped up as a sophomore in a big way and been an essential leader for the team this fall.  Cole’s scores have dramatically improved from his freshman year.  In his freshman campaign he averaged 82% of his targets hit, whereas for his sophomore year so far he is averaging just over 90%.  He has contributed to the team’s overall score in 4 out of our 6 competitions this fall.”
