Falcons Clobber Iowa Central

ICCC

Ft. Dodge, Iowa -- After failing to generate much offense in a four-game sweep at the hands of Iowa Western over the weekend, the Indian Hills Falcons didn't have that problem at all in their non-conference contest at Iowa Central on Tuesday.  IHCC erupted for nine runs in the very first inning and added nine more over their next seven turns and came away with an 18-5 pasting of the Tritons.

Indian Hills got home runs from Will Zimmerman and Christian Pena, who drove in five runs in the rout.  Leadoff batter Jay Hester scored three runs and Zachary Fascia crossed the plate four times as the Falcons tied their season-high for runs.

Zimmerman knocked in three runs, Ryan Humeniuk had a pair of hits, Justin King had two hits and three runs scored, Jameson Hart provided two hits and two RBIs and Evan Grayson also had two runs-batted-in.

Oracio DeLeon started on the mound and went 4 2/3 innings.  Jordan Bahnuk gave IHCC great relief work, allowing just one hit in 2 1/3 scoreless inning with no walks and three Ks.

Indian Hills is back on the road Wednesday, traveling to Cedar Rapids for a twinbill against Kirkwood CC.
