30 Baseball Players Are Academic All-Region

Baseball Academic All-Region Players

 

Ottumwa -- Thirty members of the Indian Hills baseball team qualified for Academic All-Region honors from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference this spring.

Alex Fisher, Allan Hogg, Brett Kauzlarich, Christian Pena, Corey Jackson, Enmanuel Castillo, Gabriel Coburn, Hunter Capps, Jacob Anhalt, Jet Weber, Joel Martis, Justin King, Rodny Valdes, Ryan Humeniuk, Shaun Atamanchuk, Soren Graverson, Tristan Ledger, Will Zimmerman, Will Edwards and Yasiel Valdez were on the academic first team.  Benjamin Battley, Clay Lathen, D.J. DePiero, Declan Buckle, Jay Hester, Jack Tully, Jordan Bahnuk, Oracio DeLeon, Evan Grayson and Zachary Fascia were second-team selections.

The academic first team is made up of those student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.5 to 4.0.  A grade point average of 3.0 to 3.49 puts a player on the second team.

In all, Indian Hills had 81 student-athletes in seven different sports on the Academic All-Region squads for the spring term.
