Winter Baseball Camp in December

Baseball camp

Centerville -- New Indian Hills baseball coach Matt Torrez has set Dec. 15 and 16 as the dates for the Winter Advanced Skills Camp that will be conducted by the new head coach and his staff.  The camp will take place in the indoor baseball facility in the Multipurpose Building on the IHCC Centerville campus.

There will be personalized instruction by coach Torrez and assistant coaches Jordan Camp and Eric Schenck-Joblinske, as well as current Indian Hills players.  The camp is for players ages 6 to 18 and will be divided into two days.

Those ages 6-12 will have their two sessions the first day, Dec. 15.  Pitching and catching will be emphasized in the morning from 10-noon, and fielding and hitting will be the focus from 1-3 in the afternoon.

The same times and areas of emphasis will be offered the following day, Dec. 16, for ages 13-18.

The sessions will include fundamentals and drills.  There will be camp t-shirts in addition to the instruction.

The cost to attend is $50 for one session (either morning or afternoon) and $90 for the entire day.

Registration can be done in advance, either online at www.indianhills.edu/baseballcamp or by phone at 641-895-3588.  Walk-in registrations will be accepted, starting 30 minutes prior to the start of a session.
