Falcons Edged by DMACC

Huckabone

Boone, Iowa -- Despite another big day at the plate by Garrett Takamatsu, Indian Hills dropped a 5-3 game to DMACC on Tuesday, the Bears getting a measure of revenge after losing a slugfest to IHCC last week in Centerville.

DMACC led 5-0 after five innings before Indian Hills tried to mount a comeback.  Soren Graverson doubled home Takamatsu in the 6th to make it 5-1, then Takamatsu plated Ryo Yamaguchi and Declan Buckle with a two-run double in the top of the 9th.  The rally ended there, however, and IHCC's record fell to 12-13.

Takamatsu had a triple to go along with his two doubles and he has 35 RBIs in 25 games this season.

Jameson Hart had two hits for Indian Hills.

The Falcons used five pitchers with the loss tagged to starter Malik AbdulMatthew Vasquez, Omar Vigil, Daniel Hargrave and Jordan Bahnuk all threw in relief.

IHCC will play league doubleheaders against Marshalltown this Saturday and Sunday.
