Ottumwa -- The Indian Hills golf team has ascended to the top sot in the latest national poll. The Warriors took over the No. 1 ranking in the Bushnell Golfweek NJCAA Division I Coaches Poll. The previous number-one team, McLennan, dropped out of the rankings and the Warriors edged Odessa to sit atop the ratings. IHCC got five of the six first-place votes; Odessa got the other one. Midland remained in the number-three spot.

Indian Hills has competed in two meets so far this fall -- winning the Mt. Mercy Invitational and coming in second at the Fall Eagle Open. They will take part in the Zach Johnson Invitational at the Harvester Golf Course near Rhodes, Iowa, next week, playing 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
