Ottumwa -- Ready to embark on its spring season, the Indian Hills golf team has the No. 1 national ranking all to itself. The Warriors are alone in the top spot of the Bushnell Golfweek NJCAA Division I Coaches Poll, one point ahead of Dodge City (Kans.). Indian Hills got three of the five first-place votes; Dodge City received the other two.

The IHCC golfers have taken advantage of the unseasonably warm February temperatures to get far more practice outside than previous Indian Hills teams have enjoyed. That will, hopefully, pay off when the spring schedule begins with the Taylor Made Adidas Intercollegiate at Saint Helena Island, South Carolina Mar. 13-14.

Indian Hills will play five events before the postseason district and national tournaments.
