Ottumwa -- Eight members of the Indian Hills basketball team qualified for Academic All-Region honors from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference this spring.
Tomas Woldetensae, Connor Murrell, Corey Manigault and Javier Valeiras were on the academic first team; Antonio Williams, James Jean-Marie, Richardson Maitre and Rob Montgomery were second-team selections.
The academic first team is made up of those student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.5 to 4.0. A grade point average of 3.0 to 3.49 puts a player on the second team.
In all, Indian Hills had 81 student-athletes in seven different sports on the Academic All-Region squads for the spring term.
