Ottumwa -- Fans will get a chance for an early look at the 2018-19 Indian Hills basketball team at the annual Meet the Warriors event on Monday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m.  It will be held at the Hellyer Student Life Center with free admission.

In addition to the Indian Hills basketball squad, coaches and team members from the other IHCC athletic programs will be introduced along with the Indian Hills cheer squad.

Select players from the Warriors' basketball roster will compete in 3-point shooting and dunk contests and all the IHCC players will be available for autographs and photos after the conclusion of the event.

The Warriors will have a rugged month of October to get ready for the start of the new season.  They will play in jamborees in Texas (five games) and Florida (three games) the next two weekends, then get a final preseason test when they take on William Penn in Oskaloosa on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m.

The regular season opens for the Warriors on Nov. 2 when they host Butler (Kans.) at the Hellyer Center as part of the Financial Partners Classic.
