Ottumwa -- After winning its 11th consecutive Iowa Community College Athletic Conference title, Indian Hills placed five players on the all-league teams announced today.  IHCC had two first-team choices, one on the second team and two on the honorable mention list.

Warriors named all-conference were first-team picks Tomas Woldetensae and Torrey Patton, Tyler Chisom on the second team, and Devontae Lane and Iziah James, both honorable mention selections.  In addition, Woldetensae was unanimously chosen as the Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Year.

Woldetensae was the leader on this year's Indian Hills team that posted a 7-1 conference record, tying Southeastern for the league regular-season championship.  The sophomore from Bologna, Italy, paced the Warriors with a 17.3 average.  He led all conference players with his 100 3-pointers, shooting 47.6 percent from long-range.  The lefty also made 88.5 percent of his free throw attempts, and will end his IHCC career as the school's all-time free throw percentage leader.

Patton is the other first-team pick from Indian Hills.  After playing at Akron as a freshman, Patton made the most of his lone season at Indian Hills, averaging 14.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.  His rebound average was second in the conference.  Patton, from Dayton, Ohio, shot just over 50 percent from the field and 74 percent from the foul line.

Chisom, another sophomore transfer, averaged an even 10 points and 4.1 rebounds a game and made 58.5 percent of his field goal attempts.  The Chicago native boosted his scoring average to 12.5 points in league games and scored a season-high 27 on the road against conference co-champ Southeastern.

Lane repeats as an honorable mention selection, one of only three players this year to be named all-league for a second time.  The Iowa City West product had a scoring average of 8.1 and led the Warriors with 34 steals, also averaging 3.2 assists per contest.

James scored in double figures in 19 games and his average of 11.1 was third on the squad.  While playing in all 32 games after transferring from Cal Poly, he had shooting percentages of 47.2 from the floor, 41.5 from three, and 86.3 from the foul line.  James led the team with an average of 3.4 assists per game with his total of 112.

The ICCAC all-league first team also included Christian Bentley of Iowa Western, Kelton Edwards of Marshalltown and AJ Cox of Southeastern.

Second team selections were Travon Broadway and Emmanuel Ugboh from Iowa Western, Emmette Page from Northeast, and Tyler Maye of Southeastern.

Parker Hazen of Iowa Western, Goran Vidovic and Eduardo Lane from Marshalltown, Northeast's Seth Coatta, and Southeastern's Marquis Collins and DeAndre Barton were honorable mention picks.
