IHCC Men Record Road Win in Nebraska

Norfolk, Nebraska -- Indian Hills jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead and finished off the home-standing Northeast Hawks in a 5-1 victory on Saturday. Akean Shackleford notched two goals, numbers 16 and 17 on the season for the freshman, to get the scoring started and the Warriors improved to 7-4 in league play and 8-4 overall.

Wilson Barahona followed Shackleford's goals with one of his own late in the first half. Patrick Klug and Pedro Campos added goals in the second half for IHCC, around Northeast's lone goal of the match. It was the first goal of the season for both Klug and Campos and they became the 14th and 15th different players to score a goal for the Warriors.

Indian Hills outshot Northeast, 18-13. Gabriel Ivlev had four saves in the IHCC goal.

Craig Brand had assists on both of Shackleford's goals. Joao Brasil also had two assists, while Stephen Oduro, Rodrigo Pascual and Christian Lima also recorded assists for IHCC.

The Warriors host NIACC at the IHCC field on Tuesday afternoon at 4:00.
