Ivlev, Warriors Blank NIACC

Ottumwa -- Indian Hills completed a season sweep of conference rival NIACC on Tuesday, shutting out the Trojans on IHCC's home pitch. First-half goals by Pedro Campos and Akean Shackleford got the Warriors off to a 2-0 advantge at intermission, and Saliou Kouyate added an insurance goal in the 63rd minute to help Indian Hills improve its season mark to 9-4 and conference record to 8-4.

Goalkeeper Gabriel Ivlev had seven saves, six of them in the second half, the majority of which came when NIACC began the final half with a flurry.

Campos scored his first goal of the season on Saturday when the Warriors won at Northeast. He made it two goals in as many games Tuesday by scoring off his own rebound in the 12th minute. Shackleford kept his streak alive -- he has scored at least once in all 11 games in which the Warriors have scored -- with a goal in the 43rd minute, pushing in the rebound of his own shot that had been stopped by NIACC keeper Colin Anderson. It was Shackleford's 18th goal of the year.

Kouyate notched his 3rd goal of the season to close out the scoring with Shackleford getting an assist. Leandro Oshiro and Joao Brasil assisted on the Campos goal and Pablo Bianchi and Wilson Barahona had assists on Shackleford's score.

Indian Hills goes to Marshalltown on Saturday with IHCC looking to duplicate an earlier win over the No. 3 ranked Tigers. Marshalltown will be trying to rebound after losing to Iowa Lakes, 4-0, on Tuesday.
