Ottumwa -- The Indian Hills men's soccer team placed 27 student-athletes on the fall 2016 Academic All-Region team released by the conference office. Fourteen of the Warriors honored were on the first team made up of those with a grade point average between 3.5 and 4.0. Thirteen were named to the second team, for GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.

Named to the first team were Clement Mensah, Craig Brand, Allen Goss, Diego Maldonado, Gabriel Ferreira, Gabriel Ivlev, Immanyuel Barnswell, Jarrod Hall, Jose Andrada, Juan Vargas, Nestor Urrea, Nicolas Montiel, Oliver Hunt and Pablo Bianchi.

Ackiel Brown, Adam Garner, Christian Lima, Gabriel Quartarone, Henrique Vieira, James Baillie, Jorge Gonzalez, Leandro Oshiro, Rafa Yegros, Rodrigo Pascual, Simone Chiari, Vitor Cantini and Yan Oliveira were the second team selections.

Indian Hills had a total of 81 student-athletes on either the first or second team academic honor list. That's nearly 60 percent of all the individuals on fall rosters.
