Shackleford Scores Four More in IHCC Victory

MSOC at Iowa Lakes

Spencer, Iowa -- Coming off a four-goal effort against Northeast (Neb.) the last time out, Akean Shackleford tallied four more goals as Indian Hills went on the road and shut out Iowa Lakes, 5-0, on Saturday.  With his latest effort, Shackleford became the national leader in goals scored.  The sophomore now has 26 for the year, two more than Tyler's Mohammed Kamara.

Three of Shackleford's goals in the league win at Iowa Lakes came in a span of about seven minutes in the second half.  The first two of those scores were assisted by Wilson Barahona, and the last one by Rodrigo Pascual.

The talented Shackleford had the first goal of the match, just seven minutes into the opening half.  It was unassisted.  Then, Leandro Oshiro doubled the lead with a goal in the 12th minute.  Gabriel Peres got the assist.

The Warriors dominated play in gaining their 12th win in 13 matches for the fall.  They will face a tough test on Wednesday when they travel to Marshalltown to take on the Tigers in a key matchup between two nationally-ranked teams.
