Ottumwa -- Jefferson (Mo.) College's Tevin Slater broke a 1-all tie with his second goal of the opening half and the visitors went on to defeat Indian Hills, 3-2, in a Wells Fargo Cup match Friday at the IHCC field.
After Slater scored in the 15th minute, the Warriors got on the scoreboard on a goal by Rodrigo Rogatto off a feed from Charles Vittini to knot the score.
Slater notched his second goal ten minutes later and Jason Hogan added an unassisted score just before halftime for Jefferson.
The lone goal of the second half came off the foot of Indian Hills freshman Luis Barojas, assisted by Gustavo Barroso, but the Warriors weren't able to get the equalizer over the final 13 minutes.
IHCC keeper Matthew Desfossez had two saves in the Warriors' second contest of the fall. They tied with Iowa Lakes last weekend.
Indian Hills will battle Cloud County (Kans.) on Sunday.
