Indian Hills Men Notch Road Victory

NCC

Norfolk, Nebraska -- The IHCC men's soccer team made it back-to-back wins with a 4-1 decision over Northeast CC on the road Saturday.

The Warriors, now 2-1-1, got the only goal of the opening half when Filippo Reggio tallied unassisted in the 31st minute.

The second period was scoreless until Matheus Albuquerque found the back of the net off an assist from David Medeiros.  Shortly after the Albuquerque goal, Northeast got on the board to cut the deficit in half.

Indian Hills then nailed down the victory with two late goals, scored by Sacha Vandersteene and Thomas Cruden in the final four minutes of play.  Medeiros had an assist on the Vandersteene score and Charles Vittini assisted on Cruden's goal.

IHCC keeper Matthew Desfossez allowed just the one goal and made two saves.

There are two home matches in the coming week for the Warriors -- against Scott CC on Wednesday and Iowa Lakes Saturday.  The Warriors and Lakers played to a 1-1 draw last month.
