Moore's Late Goal Sends IHCC to the Semifinals

Ottumwa -- Dylan Moore scored with under two minutes to play in regulation allowing Indian Hills to knock off NIACC, 2-1, Saturday and advance to the postseason region semifinals.

Off an assist from David Medeiros, Moore found the back of the net to cap an Indian Hills comeback and stretch the current winning streak to eight heading into a matchup with Iowa Lakes on Tuesday.

It was Moore's second goal of the season and his first was also a game-winner.  He scored in the 85th minute to let IHCC escape with a 5-4 win at Southeastern back on Oct. 9.  This time Moore's goal followed one by Filippo Reggio in the 82nd minute that tied things up at 1-all.  Rodrigo Rogatto assisted on Reggio's goal, his 7th of the  year.

NIACC started the scoring earlier in the second half with Lewis Sanders beating IHCC keeper Matthew Desfossez two minutes into the final period.  Neither team was able to get on the board in the first half when there were only four shots on goal.

Desfossez had three saves in the IHCC goal as the Warriors improved their season record to 11-3-1.  The contest with Iowa Lakes Tuesday in Spencer will be the third meeting of the year between the two.  They tied 1-1 early in the fall, then Iowa Lakes won 3-2 in September.
