Spencer, Iowa -- The Indian Hils men's soccer team's 8-game winning streak and their season came to an end on Tuesday when the Warriors were blanked by Iowa Lakes, 2-0, in the postseason region tourney semifinals.

The Lakers' Jovanny Brown started the scoring with a goal in the 44st minute.  Then, in the 58th minute, Nathan Ndomba added to the lead with a goal that provided some insurance.  The Warriors (11-4-1) were shut out for the first time all year, despite having 10 shots on goal.  ILCC keeper Joshua Wilson, the reigning National Goalkeeper of the Week, had the clean sheet for Iowa Lakes (15-2-1).

The loss was the first for Indian Hills since they suffered back-to-back defeats in September to Iowa Lakes and Marshalltown.  Those are the two teams that will play for the tourney championship on Saturday.

The Warriors lose nine sophs off this year's roster, but return much of the firepower that contributed to their success in 2018 in coach Juan Espinal's first year at the helm.
