Warriors and BlackHawks Battle to Draw

Burlington, Iowa -- Indian Hills and Southeastern battled for 110 minutes on Wednesday afternoon with neither team able to score and the two sides having to settle for a 0-0 tie.

The match was scoreless through the 90 minutes of regulation play as well as two 10-minute overtime periods.  SCC outshot the Warriors, 18-13.

IHCC goalkeeper Vinicius Cadengue stopped eight SCC shots on goal and BlackHawks keeper Alfred Schindler also was credited with eight saves.  Indian Hills coach Juan Espinal praised the defensive work of Adam Dahou and Edin Ganic, along with the stout goalkeeping of Cadengue.

Indian Hills was forced to play the final 40 minutes a man short after the Warriors' Sacha Vandersteene was given a red card in the second half.

Of IHCC's 13 shots for the game, David Medeiros had four and Gustavo Barroso and Damien Baltide three apiece.

With a record of 3-0-1 Indian Hills will play host to Heartland (Ill.) CC on Saturday afternoon at 3:00.
