Adade, Sodre Goals Boost IHCC to 12th Win

Adade

Ottumwa -- Indian Hills got both of its goals in the first 27 minutes of play and then turned things over to their defense in notching its 7th shutout of the season, a 2-0 blanking of Hawkeye CC on Wednesday afternoon at the IHCC field.

Diogo Adade had the first Indian Hills goal in the 7th minute on a set piece with David Medeiros getting the assist.  It was Adade's second goal of the season.  Around 20 minutes later, Gabriel Sodre also benefitted from a Medeiros assist off another set piece to record his first goal of the year.  And that was all the Warriors would need, thanks to their stout defense and the goalkeeping of Vinicius Cadengue, who made seven saves on the way to his third shutout.  Medeiros leads the team with his eight assists.

Indian Hills is now 12-2-2, the 12 victories representing the second-highest total in program history.  Only the 2017 team won more games (18) and the IHCC men have eclipsed last year's win total with one more regular-season contest remaining.  That is a Sophomore Day matchup with Northeast (Neb.) this Saturday at the IHCC field.
