Ottumwa -- The Indian Hills men's indoor track and field team has been named the National Junior College Athletic Association's Academic Team of the Year in its sport for compiling the best grade point average among NJCAA schools.

The team's GPA was 3.27, making it the top academic team among men's indoor track and field squads.

A total of 10 IHCC athletic teams were honored by the NJCAA for their work in the classroom this past academic year.
