Winters is an All-American

Pittsburg, Kansas -- Freshman Nathan Winters became Indian Hills' first track and field All-American with his 5th place finish in the shot put at the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Winters had a personal-best throw of 54' 43/4" which also set a new school record.

Two of Winters' teammates also competed at the national meet. Demitrius Mitchell was 21st in the 60 meter hurdles in 8.41 and Luke Sigler finished 26th in the mile run with a time of 4:32.78.

With the conclusion of the indoor season, the focus now shifts to the outdoor portion of the 2017 schedule with the Warriors slated to participate in the Grand View Invitational in Des Moines on Mar. 24.
