Ottumwa -- The Indian Hills sports shooting team got its initial victory in an exhibition dual against Southeastern CC Saturday at the Ottumwa Izaak Walton League range. IHCC defeated SCC 221/250-202/250 with Hunter McAninch the first-place shooter.

Under coach Jake Stalzer, Indian Hills was led by McAninch's score of 47/50. Teammates Brett Nace and Tristan Schaefer each hit 44/50 targets and were 2nd and 3rd, respectively, after the reverse run. IHCC also had Case Scieszinski and Ryan Romanco with scores of 43 as they outdistanced Southeastern.

"I am very proud of the team for achieving the program's first win," Stalzer said. "The season has flown by and our last competition of the spring will be this Saturday, at the Stockdale Gun Club in Ackley for the Iowa Collegiate State Championships."
