Ottumwa -- A total of 13 members of the Indian Hills softball team were named to the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Academic All-Region teams for their performance in the classroom during the past year. Those listed on the academic honors list include:
1st team - Abigayle Sweet, Alexis Westercamp, Jakala Hall, Jaylie Reints, Lyla Kriegel, Macey Harrington, Nina Hendriks, Taylor Sprecklemeyer
2nd team - Vanessa Bakley, Alexis Groet, Brooke Snider, Chloe Olson, Jordan Hollon
First-team selections compiled a grade point average of 3.5 and above while the second-team picks had a GPA of between 3.0 and 3.49.
Indian Hills had 81 student-athletes named Academic All-Region in seven sports that competed during the spring.
