Three Reece Goals Lead IHCC Rout

Lincoln, Ill. -- The Indian Hills women's soccer team got the new season started with a bang, getting three goals from freshman Georgia Reece and two from sophomore Hannah Till and dominating home-standing Lincoln College, 12-0, on Wednesday.

Laura Hallissey opened up the scoring with a goal 12 minutes into the first half and the Warriors added three more goals in the opening 45 minutes -- by Hannah Mitchell, Harriet Jones and Till.

The trio of goals by Reece all came in the second half and she added an assist.

Also tallying second-half scores for the Warriors were Kelcie Loughren, Eda Demiralay, Till, Mel Shepherd and Megan McElmeel, who also had a pair of assists.

Mitchell, Ellie Priest, Allie Schaefer and Tess Schiesl were all credited with assists on second-half goals for the winning Warriors.

Sophomores Sophie Ledger and Marta Lopez split the goalkeeper duties for Indian Hills and Lopez had the lone save.

Indian Hills will play its first conference match of the season when it travels to Spencer on Saturday to battle Iowa Lakes.
