Mitchell's Goal Gives IHCC Women Another Win

Norfolk, Nebraska -- A first-half goal by Hannah Mitchell was all the Indian Hills women got on Saturday -- and it was all they needed in their latest shutout victory, a 1-0 decision at Northeast (Neb.) CC. The win ups the Warriors' season record to 10-2 (7-2 in the conference), with eight of their 10 wins via shutout.

Mitchell's team-leading 10th goal came in the 30th minute, assisted by Harriet Jones, and goalkeeper Marta Lopez and the IHCC defense made the lone goal stand up. Lopez had just one save as IHCC outshot the Hawks, 15-1.

Indian Hills has won its last three games in a row, all shutout victories. They now own two 1-0 outcomes against Northeast. Laura Hallissey had the only score of the game when Indian Hills won by a 1-0 margin at home last month.

The Warriors are idle until they travel to the Kansas City area this Friday for a match with MCC-Blue River.
