Hallissey Nets 2nd OT Game-Winner

St. Charles, Missouri -- For the second time this month, Indian Hills freshman Laura Hallissey scored a game-winning overtime goal as the Warriors knocked off St. Charles CC on Thursday. Hallissey booted the deciding goal three minutes into the second overtime in IHCC's 2-1 win against St. Charles. On Oct. 7, her overtime goal allowed the Warriors to escape with a 4-3 victory at MCC-Blue River.

The latest goal was Hallissey's 8th of the season.

Indian Hills (14-2) opened the scoring when Megan McElmeel scored in the first half. St. Charles' Kirsten White notched the game-tying goal with around four minutes left in the second half. The first 10-minute overtime session was scoreless and then Hallissey sent the Warriors home a winner after three minutes had elapsed in the second OT.

Sophie Ledger started in goal for Indian Hills and played the first half. Marta Lopez played the second half and the overtime periods. They combined for three saves.

McElmeel tied Hannah Mitchell for the team lead when her 11th goal of the season made it 1-0.

IHCC will celebrate Sophomore Day on Saturday when the Warriors host Scott CC at the IHCC field.
