Warriors End Regular Season With Tie

Fort Dodge, Iowa -- Neither side was able to punch in a goal in two overtime sessions so Indian Hills and Iowa Central settled for a 1-1 tie in the final regular-season matchup for both teams on Saturday.

Stephanie Faust accounted for the Indian Hills goal, her first of the season.

Sophie Ledger had nine saves as the IHCC goalkeeper.

It was the second overtime game between the two teams. Iowa Central registered a 1-0 OT win the last time they played.

Indian Hills (14-3-1, 8-3-1) has played four overtime matches this season, three of them coming in the last six games.

Next up for the Warriors is a Region 11 first-round tournament matchup with Northeast (Neb.) on Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 at the IHCC field. Indian Hills swept the regular-season series with the Hawks, both games ending 1-0

The winner Wednesday advances to the semifinals of the postseason tourney, with the semis and championship matches to be played at the Cownie Soccer Park in Des Moines this Saturday and Sunday.
