Quincy, Illinois -- Indian Hills broke open a close game with a second-half barrage of goals and routed John Wood CC, 10-1, on Tuesday afternoon.  The Warriors led 2-1 at halftime with both goals scored by Emily Murphy.  After intermission, however, the IHCC offense really started clicking with eight goals scored in the final half, a total that included the third of the match by Murphy and three by Blessing Agada.  Agada's goals and the final one for Murphy came in the last 15 minutes of play nailing down IHCC's second consecutive win to begin the season.

The second half was scoreless until Miranda Kurtt scored in the 50th minute and that opened the floodgates for Indian Hills.  Molly Kellar followed with a goal and Kurtt and Kellar added one more goal each before Agada and Murphy finished out the one-sided win securing a hat trick for both players.

Murphy had four goals in the Warriors' opening victory against Iowa Lakes and has seven through the first two contests.  Agada has four.

Twelve different IHCC players were credited with assists in the win with Emma Rosner assisting on the final four goals.  Kurtt had three assists, Juanita Miller, Kiri Chiba and Charlyann Pizzarello all had two, and Murphy, Kellar, Maite Montalvo, Julie Gouilliart, Jocelyn Walker, Taylor Fuller and Kinsey Cook all picked up one assist.

The Warriors return to action in their home opener on Friday against Jefferson (Mo.) College at 1:00.
