Fort Dodge, Iowa -- A goal by Carmen Kager gave Indian Hills a lead it held until the final minute of regulation and the Warriors then gave up an overtime goal and fell to Iowa Central, 2-1, on Tuesday.
Kager, a sophomore, scored her third goal of the season, an unassisted tally, with 27 seconds remaining in the opening half. The score stayed 1-0 until the Tritons' evened things up with only 20 seconds to play in the second period.
Iowa Central's Bruna Moureira then scored the game-decider in overtime to give the Tritons the conference victory.
Indian Hills is 9-3 and 3-3 in the league. The Warriors play at Hawkeye CC on Saturday. Their final regular season game is a home contest against Dakota County Technical College on Oct. 13.
