Ottumwa -- Indian Hills freshman Emily Murphy capped her first year of college soccer by being named to the NJCAA Division I All-American Honorable Mention list.

Murphy's sensational season included 37 goals, the fifth-highest total in the nation, and 15 assists for 89 points.  Her points number was fourth nationally.  Murphy, from Burlington, had hat tricks in eight of the Warriors' games.  Her high was five goals in a win against Southeastern.

She was tied for second in the country with eight game-winning goals, fifth in shots on goal (70) and tied for seventh in total shots (97) for an IHCC team that finished 13-4.

Murphy was also a first-team All-Region choice.

She is the second All-American in program history.  Laura Hallissey became the first in 2017.
