Quincy, Illinois -- Four more goals from All-American Emily Murphy and shutout goalkeeping by Elani Mears allowed Indian Hills to push its undefeated record to 8-and-0 in a 6-0 whitewashing of John Wood CC on Sunday afternoon.

Murphy opened the scoring with a goal in the 21st minute and, after the Warriors took a 3-0 halftime lead, she added three more in the final period to increase her season total to 16.  She has hat tricks in each of the last three games, four for the season and 12 in her career.

Georgia Lindon followed Murphy's first goal with a score in the 38th minute and Madison L. Meyer added another five minutes later.  Kiri Chiba assisted on all three of the opening-half goals and she is tied for the team lead in assists with nine.  Julie Gouilliart also has nine assists, including two on Murphy's second-period scores.  Meyer, playing in her hometown on her high school field, had a second-half assist to go along with her goal.

Murphy had nine of the Warriors' total of 35 shots.

Elani Mears had to make only one save in goal for the Warriors as she notched her 4th clean sheet of the year.  Her goals-against average is 0.57.

Through their first eight matches, Indian Hills has gotten goals from 14 different players and assists from 13.

IHCC will take on Scott CC on the road on Wednesday, one week after beating them on the IHCC field.
