Indian Hills Women Win No. 11

Mason City, Iowa -- Indian Hills, with two key road games scheduled over a four-day period, dispatched NIACC, 6-0, Sunday afternoon on the NIACC campus.

Emily Murphy got the Warriors off to a strong start with a goal in the 19th minute, the sophomore's 23rd of the fall.  It was her first of two goals for the day.  Madison L. Meyer also had a pair of goals, her second straight two-goal game.

After Murhpy's opening score, Meyer made it 2-0 in the 30th minute and Miranda Kurtt picked up her sixth goal to round out the first half offense.  Murphy got the first of the three scores in the second half, followed by Meyer and Carolina Farias, who scored her first of the season.  Farias became the 16th different IHCC player with at least one goal this fall.  Murphy had a pair of assists to go along with her two goals.  Kurtt also assisted on a couple of goals, Chiba had one assist and Meyer the other as IHCC improved its season record to 11-0-1.

The Warriors outshot NIACC 25-6 and got another strong effort in goal from Elani Mears, now with six clean sheets after needing to stop just one Trojan shot on goal in her latest shutout.

Indian Hills heads to Council Bluffs on Wednesday to battle Iowa Western.  Following the matchup with the Reivers, the final three regular-season contests are all at home.
