2024 NJCAA DI WOMEN'S SOCCER POLL - WEEK 3
Ottumwa, IA – On the heels of back-to-back wins on the road, the Indian Hills Women's Soccer team made its first appearance in the national rankings this year. The Warriors appeared in the 'Others Receiving Votes' category, announced Monday afternoon.
Sporting a 6-2-0 overall record on the year, the Warriors have won three consecutive contests, including a pair over the weekend in Tennessee. The two losses on the year for Indian Hills have been by just one goal each while the team owns a 27-6 goal differential on the year.
Indian Hills earned national attention in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Women's Soccer rankings for the first time since the 2022 preseason poll where the Warriors were ranked No. 17. The spot in this week's national poll comes after the Warriors knocked off then-No. 15 nationally ranked Motlow State Community College (TN) 2-1 on Sunday afternoon, the team's first win over a ranked opponent since 2022.
Indian Hills is off to a strong start in 2024 as the team has pitched four shutouts on the year to go along with a 0.75 goals against average, the 13th best mark in the nation.
The Warriors return to action on Wednesday afternoon with a trip to Fort Dodge, IA to take on Iowa Central Community College. Kick-off is set for 1:00 PM.
