El Dorado, Kansas-- Tyarra English-Paulson made history at the 2018 NJCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships hosted by Butler Community College. The freshman phenom finished the meet as the first women's track and field athlete to earn All-American status.

The two time IHCC student-athlete of the month entered the meet ranked 7th in the 400m hurdles with a school record time of 1:03.81. English-Paulson competed in the 400m hurdle prelims on Thursday, lowering her school record to 1:02.71. The time placed her 7th and advanced her to the finals on Saturday. English-Paulson finished 7th in the finals, clocking in at 1:04.12 and earning All-American status along the way.

English-Paulson was named the NJCAA DI National Track Athlete of the Week in December by the USTFCCCA and finished the year with seven school records. The national meet concluded the 2017-18 season for the Warriors, where a total of thirteen school records went down.
