Pittsburg, KS – If Indian Hills Track & Field fans thought day one of the Gorilla Classic was exciting, day two was equally so. Two more school-records fell, along with several personal-bests.

Sophomore All-American Marcus Graham doubled-back from a school-record in the 5,000 Friday night to run a school-record in the 800-meter run Saturday afternoon. Graham rocketed to a finishing time of 1:57.66, narrowly breaking the previous school-record held by All-American Chris Kubli. The record is the 6th that he has notched while at IHCC, and his 3rd in 3 races this indoor season.

Next the women's 4x400-meter relay team brought fans to their feet as the women's meet came to a close. The team of: freshman Dyashia Colvin, sophomore Tyarra English-Paulson, sophomore Kylee Spurgeon, and freshman MyKedra Craig rolled to a record-breaking time of 4-minutes and 15-seconds, a new school-record in the event.

However, those record-breaking performances weren't the only fast times laid down by the Warriors on the track this afternoon. Freshman Conner Riley dashed to a personal-best in the Mile run with a time of 4:29.05, the 3rd fastest time in school-history.

Finally, the men's 4x400-meter relay team of: freshman Carlon Steward, sophomore Damond Anderson, freshman Ethan McAreavy, and freshman Kohner Butts had a very strong showing that involved a sub-50-second split from Butts.

Coach Williams said on the weekend, "This was a great meet. We had an opportunity to get on the national championship track, with some great talent. We gained some competition experience and most of the team took advantage of it. Our distance squad really had a great weekend. It was nice to see them really starting to come on at the right time". Williams continued to say, "Now it's time to look forward to the Region XI Championships this weekend".

The team will return to action this coming weekend at the Region XI Championships hosted by Buena Vista University on Friday and Saturday.
