No. 7 Warriors Stay Unbeaten

South Holland, Illinois -- The Indian Hills Warriors capped a successful early-season road trip with two victories at South Suburban College on Monday, maintaining their undefeated record in the process. IHCC knocked off Lake Michigan in three straight sets (25-17, 25-11, 25-18) before disposing of the host South Suburban squad, also in three sets (25-12, 25-11, 25-8).

The sweep of Monday's matches came on the heels of the Warriors' 4-0 record in a tourney at the Wisconsin Dells on Saturday and Sunday and pushed their season mark to 7-0.

In their unbeaten start to the 2016 season, the Warriors have four players who are the statistical leaders in key areas.

Freshman Camila Nicoletti leads in kills with 77, sophomore Bailey Darnall paces the Warriors in blocks with 18 and service aces with seven, freshman Antonia Ivanovic is the leader with 69 digs and sophomore setter Yanjiao Zhao has a total of 200 assists, an average of 11.11 per set.

Indian Hills is idle until traveling to West Burlington to take on Southeastern CC on Sept. 7. Their next home match will be Sept. 9 against Jefferson (Mo.) College at the Hellyer Center.
