Warriors Dominate to End Regular Season

Ottumwa -- The sixth-ranked Indian Hills volleyball team will have some bigtime momentum when it enters postseason play later this week. On Monday night, when six IHCC sophomores were honored before the match, the Warriors rolled over Southeastern CC, 25-20, 25-11, and 25-13. It was the 26th consecutive match win for IHCC, extending the school record they set a week ago. It also gives them a 36-3 season mark going into the weekend District J Tournament.

The Warriors' starting lineup included their six sophs with Bailey Zoss, Marisa Pope, Yanjiao Zhao, Antonija Ivanovic, Bailey Darnall and Iva Popovic taking the court at the Hellyer Center at the outset of the final regular-season match. Darnall returned to action after being sidelined with an injury.

Next up for Indian Hills is the four-team District J tourney in Council Bluffs this Friday and Saturday. The Warriors begin their quest for a district title against Marshalltown CC at 3:00 Friday afternoon. The winner takes on the winner of the Vincennes-Iowa Western contest at 7:00 Friday night. It's a double elimination tourney.
