IHCC Falls at Iowa Western

Council Bluffs, Iowa -- The Indian Hills volleyball team went on the road Wednesday night and lost in straight sets to second-ranked Iowa Western.  The Warriors, who entered the national ratings at No. 16 this week, saw their six-match winning streak come to an end, the Reivers winning 25-16, 25-19, 25-22.

Iowa Western dominated play at the net with 49 kills to 27 for the visitors.  Mariana Rodrigues' 11 kills topped IHCC as did her six digs.  Yasmin Assis and Laisa Telles Maeda shared setter duties for the Warriors; Assis had 17 assists and Maeda 10.

Indian Hills will be at home this Saturday for a match with Jefferson (Mo.) College, starting at 3 p.m. at the Hellyer Center.
