Indian Hills Gets Sweep in Nebraska

Columbus, Nebraska -- Indian Hills knocked off both the host school, Central (Neb.) Community College, and Northeast (Neb.) in a triangular Thursday.  The Warriors lost the second set to Columbus, 27-25, but won the other three sets, 25-18, 27-25, 25-16.  IHCC swept Northeast, 25-17, 25-17, 25-20, to get to 16-14 for the season.

Mariana Rodrigues and Cecilia Campos led the attack against Central with 20 kills apiece and Rodrigues also paced the defense with 20 digs.  Campos hit .395 and Rodrigues .381.  Laisa Telles Maeda had 42 assists, Amanda Toyota 16 digs and Brooke Johnson-Watkins five blocks for the winning Warriors.

In the Northeast match, Campos had 14 kills while hitting .387 and Rodrigues added 13 kills.  Campos and Toyota each had 13 digs and Yasmin Assis chipped in 40 assists.  Suzana Andrade, Natalia Araujo and Campos each had two ace serves.

Indian Hills plays host to Southeastern Tuesday night at the Hellyer Center.
