Iva Vranic, Volleyball

The Indian Hills Community College Athletic Department has named Iva Vranic as September’s Student-Athlete of the Month. This accolade honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding commitment in both their respective sport, as well as the classroom.

Iva Vranic, sophomore from Belgrade, Serbia was dynamic on both sides of the net in September. While playing in all 42 sets, 12 matches throughout September she powered 87 kills to the floor. She also had outstanding defense at the net with 9 solo blocks and 40 block assists. She is currently averaging 2.34 kills per set, 1.02 blocks per set, and has a .356 hitting percentage. Coach Michel said, “Iva always shows up. She shows up on the court, in the classroom, in the dormitories, and in life. She is a role model. These successes do not come by accident. Iva is an incredibly hard worker, dedicated to being the best. She’s a supporter and we are blessed to have her with us.”
