The Indian Hills Community College Athletic Department has named Conner Riley as August’s Student-Athlete of the Month. This accolade honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding commitment in both their respective sport, as well as the classroom.
Riley, a sophomore from Ottumwa, led the warriors in their home competition and finished with a Region XI Time Trial with a time of 17:02. The time placed him 9th overall. He was the first IHCC finisher by 40 seconds and he currently had a 3.6 GPA. Coach Ewing says, “Conner is just a tremendous young man. He embodies the meaning of student-athlete. Conner’s progression since last summer has been very impressive. He went from being a track dominant runner to someone who is now leading our distance group in cross country.”
