Emmanuel Dixon joined the Indian Hills coaching staff this summer as an assistant coach in charge of jumps and to help with sprints and hurdles.
Dixon arrived at IHCC after two years as an assistant coach at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he devised training plans for their sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers. At SOSU the new Indian Hills assistant coached 17 all-conference finishes, helped develop conference champions in the sprints, high jump, throws and pole vault with the athletes breaking 20 school records. He also took part in recruiting student-athletes during his time at Southwestern Oklahoma.
Prior to going to SOSU Dixon served as an assistant varsity sprint coach at Minnetonka High School in Minnesota and as an assistant with the men's and women's track and field teams at Minnesota State Mankato. He also helped coach track at Mankato East High School during the 2016 season.
Dixon recently earned his master's degree in sports management at Southwestern Oklahoma State and also has a bachelor's in exercise science from Minnesota State Mankato.
