Warriors Fall to Lakers

Iowa Lakes

Ottumwa -- Despite two goals from freshman David Medeiros, Indian Hills lost a 3-2 decision to Iowa Lakes at the IHCC field on Saturday, the loss snapping a three-game winning streak for the Warriors.

Medeiros started the scoring with his first goal just four minutes into the contest.  Iowa Lakes answered around seven minutes later and the score stayed 1-1 through the end of the opening half.

The visitors scored on a header off a corner kick to grab the lead in the final half, then scored what turned out to be the game-winner on a penalty kick three minutes after that.

Medeiros tallied his second goal in the 80th minute, but the Warriors couldn't score the equalizer and fell to 3-2-1 for the season.

IHCC keeper Matthew Desfossez had saves.

The Warriors play at Southeastern CC on Tuesday, then host Marshalltown in a key ICCAC match on Saturday.
