East Peoria, Illinois -- Kanata Furutani found the back of the net just eight minutes into the first overtime period to give Indian Hills a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Illinois Central on Friday.  Furutani's goal was his first of the season and came off a pass from Adam Dahou.

Illinois Central, which had earned a win against No. 2 ranked Marshalltown CC a week earlier, had tied the match at 3-3 with a penalty kick in the 57th minute.  That was their second goal in a span of around three minutes after IHCC's Rodrigo Rogatto opened the second half scoring to put Indian Hills on top, 3-1, five minutes into the second period.

The Warriors' David Medeiros got his team off to a fast start with a penalty kick goal three minutes into the contest.  Gustavo Barroso made it 2-0 with an unassisted goal later in the opening half.  The hosts got on the board with their own penalty kick score a minute after the Barroso goal.

Vinicius Cadengue made seven saves in goal for Indian Hills.  His counterpart for Illinois Central, Felix Schuster, was credited with just one save.

The Warriors (4-1-1) remain on the road when they play at John Wood CC in Quincy, Ill., on Sunday.
